one of a kind - Ducati 888 SP4 which has covered just 4000 km from newI can trace the history of this bike right back to day one . a good friend of mine personally imported it back in 1997 following a trip to Italy to purchase it . at the time it had only covered 187km and had been part of a private collection . I have photographs of the bike dating right the way back to when it was in Italy and still on its Italian registration . it has never been raced and has barely seen the road let alone any racetrack upon arriving in the UK the bike was registered and given to Pro twins in Godstone to recommision with new belts and fluids etc . they have done all the maintenance on the bike whilst its been in the UK . whilst its never covered many miles its always been kept in a running state with current MOT . serviced and new belts as required and never left to stand for long periods . the intention was always to use it more often but a 916sps came along and then a r1200gs and ended up using th em on the rare occasions there was time to go for a ride . after 17 years of ownership it seems it wont be getting used afterall and a Ducati Diavel seems a more sensible option hence the reason for sale . the eagle eyed among you may notice it has the later SP5 showa forks and  lower footrest hangers fitted . this was done by Pro twins in exchange for the SP4 rock solid ohlins and skyhigh footrests which killed the enjoyment of riding it . I have photos of it before this was done and Pro twins can verify this work being done . there was also a hyperpro rear spring fitted to the original shock but otherwise the bike is as it left Ducati . I dont have the original forks - if I did I would fit them and remove the need for the last paragraph the bodywork is SP5 colours (from new it would appear) and has all its original patina . its not immaculate and has the odd small mark and tiny hairline crack in the paint but it is totally untouched and still looks stunning . speedo still reads in km h and was never converted to mph . termi cans sound lovely the tyres are not that old and in excellent condition . recently had a new battery . engine and gearbox are quite simply perfect . any inspection welcome but I wont let anyone ride it for obvious reasons - if you bought it and found it not to be what ive said then il just refund your money upon sale I will have Pro twins replace the cambelts and will also have all of the fluids replaced . the bike will also be supplied with 12 months MOTs . I also have the original front and rear paddock stands and these will be supplied with the bike aswell as a cover and the original key walletfeel free to ask any questions you may have . viewing is more than welcome . nationwide delivery available .
